THINGS TO REMEMBER ABOUT PEOPLES BANK VITOP TRIPS:

  • You do not have to bank with Peoples Bank to enjoy the trips. There is a small guest fee, usually $5 per day. Members are 50+ and maintain a minimum balance of $2,000 in any checking, savings, Certificate of Deposit or IRA.
  • VItoP members are covered with $100,000 Common Carrier Insurance per account.
  • Trip Cancellation & Interruption Insurance is included on all overnight trips.
  • Gift certificates are available at all Peoples Bank locations.
  • MasterCard, Visa, Discover & American Express may be used for payment for any Peoples Bank trip.

FYI - Membership in the VItoP Club is open to all those 55+, who maintain a $2000 balance in any type of Peoples Bank account, such as checking, savings, certificate of deposit, or IRA. It is free to join and no monthly fees. There are several “perks” for members, including a discounted price on the trips. Call for additional information.

There are a number of protection plans to meet your needs when you arrange your own travel and want a protection plan for the investment and for travel assistance. September 25, 2010- BROADWAY SHOW "9 TO 5" AT TPAC WITH SPECIAL LUNCHEON VENUE

Dolly Parton’s catchy tunes and zesty lyrics are the force behind the chick power-hit, 9 to 5. It’s wildly entertaining, and the lunch is refreshingly enticing at Homestead Manor, Thompson’s Station. Hold your space with a $20 refundable deposit. Cost is $110 for members and $115 for guests. Final payment will be due by August 3rd. Depart Wal-Mart in Savannah at 8 a.m., Peoples Bank in Clifton at 8:30 a.m., and E. W. James in Waynesboro at 9:00 a.m. Call Catherine, 931-676-3311 to get the exact cost.


October 1-9, 2010- CANADIAN/NEW ENGLAND CRUISE FROM BOSTON TO NOVA SCOTIA

We’ll fly to Boston, Massachusetts, on the first day of this trip and check into a downtown hotel and have dinner at a local Boston restaurant. We’ll enjoy a tour of Boston before we board the Jewel of the Seas cruise ship. We will enjoy activities in Portland, and Bar Harbor, Maine, St. John, New Brunswick, Halifax, Nova Scotia, and enjoy two days at sea as part of this cruise. Cruise fares vary depending on the size and location. Choices include a Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom w/Veranda, a Large Ocean View Stateroom, or the Interior Stateroom. November 6, 2010 – Swingin’ at the Strand

Enjoy a 21-piece Music City Swing Band as the Strand in Hohenwald presents another great evening of music entitled “Big Band at the Movies.”  The evening includes transportation, dinner, the performance, and dessert in the Old Depot.  Contact Catherine at 931-676-331 to sign up for this trip that is back by popular demand.


December 2010- "A CHRISTMAS STORY" AT TPAC

December 3-6, 2010- SAN ANTONIO CHRISTMAS WITH FREDERICKSBURG CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL

We will arrive at the Drury Inn and Suites in San Antonio on December 3rd and enjoy dinner at the Texas Land & Cattle Steak House. On Saturday, we will travel to the German town of Fredericksburg and tour the Admiral Nimitz State Historic National Museum of the Pacific War. We’ll enjoy lunch at Friedhelm’s Bavarian Restaurant, followed by festivities at the St. Nikolaus Market, which will feature entertainment and unique merchandise for holiday shopping! Sunday will see us touring San Antonio and the lovely homes in the historic King William District, a tour of Steve’s Homestead, and the San Jose Mission. Our tour will end with a delicious Sunday brunch at the historic Menger Hotel. The Alamo, shrine of Texas liberty, will be one of our stops for the day, and we will take a lovely cruise on the San Antonio River that night. We’ll check out of our hotel on Monday and tour the SAS Shoe Factory and Los Patios, followed by lunch at the Gazebo Restaurant before returning home that afternoon. April 2, 2011 – “Cats” at TPAC

This Broadway hit is back at TPAC for a limited performance. Join us for a delightful luncheon and the enthralling matinee, featuring the music and characters that have drawn crowds for years. Call Catherine, 931-676-3311.


May 20-23, 2011 – New York City

June 2011 – Mackinaw Island

August 15 – 19, 2011 – Black Hills and Badlands

Make plans to tour the Black Hills and the Badlands while staying at the lovely K Bar S Lodge. We’ll visit Deadwood and Crazy Horse and see Mount Rushmore both in daylight and the evening lighting program.
